Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, including local storage and session storage, can store information in your browser. This Cookie Policy explains how SYNDICATES TRADING LTD uses these technologies on the Syndicates platform.
This Policy is intended to comply with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR.
2. How We Use Cookies
- to authenticate users and keep sessions secure;
- to prevent fraud, CSRF, abuse, and unauthorised access;
- to remember cookie consent and interface preferences;
- to track affiliate referrals where you have accepted optional referral cookies;
- to measure site usage with Google Analytics where you have accepted optional analytics cookies;
- to support payment, Discord OAuth, and account features;
- to comply with legal and security obligations.
3. Cookie Categories
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for security, login, payment, and core platform functionality. They are set without optional consent because the Services cannot work properly without them.
3.2 Optional Affiliate Cookies
Affiliate/referral cookies remember referral information for attribution. We only set these if you accept optional affiliate cookies. Rejecting them does not block access to the website, but referral attribution may not work.
3.3 Optional Analytics Cookies
If you accept analytics cookies, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic (for example pages visited, approximate location, device type, and referral source). Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies for remarketing. You can reject analytics cookies to prevent Google Analytics from loading. If you later withdraw analytics consent, we attempt to clear Google Analytics cookies from your browser for this site.
3.4 Functional Preferences
Some preferences (for example dashboard sidebar open/closed state) are stored locally to keep the interface usable. These are not used for advertising.

5. Local Storage and Session Storage
- localStorage: stores selected timezone and high-impact filter preferences for the news calendar, and may store temporary trading-journal draft data on your device for resilience during editing.
- sessionStorage: temporarily caches economic calendar data during a browsing session.
These browser storage mechanisms are not automatically sent to us with every request, but they can still be personal data if they identify or relate to you.
6. Third-Party Cookies and Similar Technology
- Stripe: Stripe may set cookies or use similar technologies during checkout, customer portal access, fraud prevention, and payment processing.
- Discord: Discord may set cookies when you link your Discord account or interact with Discord OAuth.
- Cloudflare: Cloudflare may process request metadata and use security-related cookies or identifiers to protect the website.
- Google Analytics:when you accept analytics cookies, Google may set analytics cookies and process usage data under Google's terms. See Google's Privacy Policy.
The Inter font is loaded through Next.js font tooling and served by the application, so normal visitors should not be sent to Google Fonts at runtime for that font.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent login, checkout, protected content access, or security features from working correctly.
